lyrics

SEEING STARS

You told me when we met you came from outer space.
Sent here to learn about the human race.
Bought you a kebab and caught the last bus home.
Said goodbye to my mates now we’re all alone.
And I say, woah.

You look very pretty from a distance it’s true.
But things get kind of scary when I’m close to you.
You took off my glasses, told me “Just stay calm.”
“This is research babe, I don’t mean you no harm.”
And I say, woah.

Is it mind control?
Tell me what did you do?
‘Cos I can’t think straight when I’m here with you.
Seeing stars when I look in your eyes,
a million miles high like a fire in the sky

Woke up in the morning saw that you had gone.
Left me with a tattoo and the knowledge that you are the one.
Now I spend my days chasing UFOs.
Hanging round kebab shops for a girl who never shows.

Was it mind control?
Tell me what did you do?
I can’t do nothing ‘cept dream of you.
Seeing stars when I close my eyes,
I’m stuck here in the gutter waiting for sunrise.

Woah...
